Kavarna town is located North-East Bulgaria in Dobrich District. It is situated in the easternmost part of the Danube Plain in the Dobroudzha part of the Black Sea coast. The coastline is slightly indented with small naturally formed beaches. There are unutilized resources for development of seaside vacation tourism. The large beach of Kavarna attracts many visitors in the summer. Modern hotels have been built in the recent years. Chirakman horn, Kaliakra horn and Yajlata locality have preserved evidence of thousands of years of human presence on this land. The region has unique biodiversity. The largest steppe ecosystems in Bulgaria have been preserved here. In the Yajlata, Bolata, Kaliakra and Taukliman localities those who are fond of wild nature have the chance to watch rare and endangered biological species. There are good facilities for rural tourism development in the villages of Balgarevo, Kamen Bryag and Topola. Potential for health treatment tourism is in place as well.
