The Byala municipality is the entrance door to the District of Rousse from West and Central Bulgaria. The region is characterized by the typical geo-morphological features of the Danubian Plain. It borders the Districts of Targovishte and Veliko Tarnovo. The municipality`s area is 341 sq. km. The municipal centre (town of Byala) is 55 km away from Rousse, 58 km away from Veliko Tarnovo, 22 km away from Polski Trambesh and 53 km away from Popovo. There is a forest park and eight tourist chalets in the region of Byala forest. The existing facilities are suitable for the initiation of a hunting tourism project.
